Combine the challenge of fly fishing and a breathtaking floatplane flight to the heart of the Tongass National Forest near Juneau. You will fly with an experienced pilot to a remote wilderness stream or tidal estuary. Upon landing, your guide will provide detailed instruction on casting and fishing techniques geared for all skill levels.

Fly Fishing

You will pursue wild salmon, prime Dolly Varden, char, cutthroat or steelhead, depending on the time of year and conditions. A maximum client to guide ratio of 5:1 is maintained, ensuring personal attention for all participants. Use of top-quality fishing equipment, flies and waders, as well as an Alaskan snack are included.

As an added bonus, this tour provides excellent opportunities to view wildlife and the natural beauty of Alaska’s Inside Passage during both your flight and your fishing adventure. An unforgettable wilderness fly fishing adventure!

Includes flight time, gearing, plus about 4 hours fishing time. Moderate physical effort, including walking over uneven and slippery surfaces on occasion. Depending on availability, a 2 or 3 guest minimum may apply. Fish retention may be available. Optional additional flight or fishing time, inquire 907-789-3772. Extra time available $50pp/phr

Duration: About 5 1/2 hours (4 hours fishing).

Please note: Alaska State law requires a valid one day Fishing License which may be purchased for about $10 from your guide. Some guides require a minimum of two or three guests to operate this tour, so if your group is smaller, you can join another group if one is available. Also, as a conservation measure, most fishing is conducted on a catch- and-release basis, though some guides permit keeping your catch and also have spin casting gear available. Guests must be able to enter and exit the planes and walk/hike over uneven and slippery surfaces on occasion.
