Remote Kayak & Wildlife Charter
One of the best kayak adventures in Alaska! ABAK chooses one of several unique wilderness
locations based on tides, wind, weather, and the time of season.
The Taku Route is a scenic river inlet
with varnished cliffs and many waterfalls that passes two glaciers.
The Admiralty Route goes into
brown bear country with views of old growth forest and a beautiful boardwalk path through a giant
peat bog.
Marine mammals including humpback whales are seen on our Shelter routes, and the
Berner's route is an estuary kayak with a great hike along Sawmill Creek to a fantastic waterfall.
All of our routes are accessed via high speed water taxi and each destination takes about thirty minutes to get to by boat. The guide keeps things entertaining and outfits you with state-of-the-art equipment before launching in kayaks from the boat or a beach.
Enjoy a light lunch, snacks and beverages both on the boat and in the field. No experience is necessary, and roundtrip passenger van transport is included. Group size is limited to six unless you are a private group.
