Experience the abundant wildlife by land and sea on this exclusive eco-tour. Combine a unique marine exploration with an easy hike on a lush rainforest trail. Add one of our expert local Certified Interpretive Guides for an outstanding wilderness adventure.
Climb aboard our exploration vessel intentionally designed for
up-close wildlife viewing. This stable covered watercraft is equipped with a hydrophone and when possible guests are able to listen to the underwater sounds of whales.
Your Naturalist will help you seek out the abundant wildlife that thrive in these protected waters: Humpback whales, Orcas, Stellar sea lions, Dahl's porpoises, harbor seals, sea birds and more. You will want to keep a camera handy as you travel quickly from place to place or drift quietly while you observe the behaviors and antics of Alaska's most notable marine residents.
On land, you will stretch your legs on a permitted rainforest trail. The gentle path exhibits all the bounty of the forest: Its food, its medicine, its shelter and its ambiance. There will be stops along the way for interpretation and opportunities to rest. Make the most of your Alaska experience with a world-class nature hike and marine exploration combined on a single tour!
